“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Worship and prayer have paved the way for almost every move of God in history. There is power in the pure praise of God from the mouths and hearts of His people. Not only does our worship contribute to the songs of generations that have gone before us, but we also worship with all of heaven as the angels faithfully and adoringly surround Gods throne.
We want the worship we bring to God to be filled with the Holy Spirit and defined by His truth. The unmistakable purpose of worship is to glorify God, with our hearts and our voices. God is worthy of worship, and we are not. We are passionate about singing, writing and declaring songs that wholeheartedly reflect scripture and the perfect nature of God.
In worship be believe the following happens:
- We draw near to God. God draws near to us.
- We delight in God. God delights in us.
- God edifies the church and builds her up, strengthening our faith and refreshing our spirits.
So what does this look like for us at Hope City Church?
Our desire is to cultivate a culture of worship within our church that outworks itself into our families, our neighborhoods and our city.
- We are committed and seeking to write and sing songs that are biblical and glorify God.
- We are intentional about building a team of worshippers who carry this same vision and heart for worship.
- We can’t wait to unleash our very own worship nights, unapologetically giving hours of our time to just worshiping and adoring our God together.
- We are planning and dreaming about having a movement of worship leaders on this journey in the future, to write songs with, delve deeper into God with, and lead more radically with.
